Defiance is talking about how a group of 1200 Jews close to Germany were able to survive during world war II.
They lived in a deep forest for several years till the end of the war. It's hard to imagine how difficult it must have been for them when they faced such serious situations and pressure. Despite this they were able to create a lot of miracles for themselves and get through the difficult times. There must have been so many times that they felt there was no hope in sight and just wanted to give up.
Can you believe how humans are able to create a lot of miracles when they face serious situations or pressure, even if it is very difficult for them to imagine at the time.
According to history and movies, you may understand why the Jews insisted to build their own country because they didn't want to experience the same thing again. They also didn't want to disperse around the world anymore.
After this film, I found that recently I have been watching lots of movies about war world II and stories about how the Germans killed the Jews. Jesus was a Jew and he had a hard time too!
